Greg Avon

Mr. Avon has been involved in the sport of cycling as a competitor, coach, official, event promoter and sponsor for more than 20 years. 

Greg began coaching with the Kissena Cycling Club's junior program that included George Hincapie.  Later, he developed the Kissena Cycling Team into one of the top amateur programs in North America.  He also served as Coach and Team Director for the LeMond Fitness/Captain Cra-Z Soap Professional Cycling Team.

Suzanne Timerman: 3-time US National Champion, 3-time World Masters Champion
Tim Hadfield: 9-time Canadian National Champion
Bill Innes: two-time US National Championship Silver Medalist
Peter Mazur: 2000 Junior World Time Trial Champion
Jennifer Evans (McRae): US National Championship Silver Medalist, World Masters Champion

Favorite ride:

Tucson, AZ to the observatory at the top of Kitt Peak and back to Tucson (120 miles).  It's his favorite ride as long as Peter Mazur comes along to do most of the pulling.
